U.S beliefs on why Asian Americans are less likely to be in high-level positions 2023
According to a survey conducted in 2023, 37 percent of Americans said that they thought racism or discrimination was a key factor preventing Asian Americans from being in high-level positions in corporate America. In comparison, 16 percent said that 'yellow peril', or fearing or seeing Asian Americans as a threat, was a key factor preventing their promotion to senior corporate positions.
