As of July 14, 2023, users of Meta's new social network Threads were spending an average of six minutes on the service per day, down from an average of 21 minutes on July 7, 2023. The new platform, which is integrated with Instagram, was released on 5 July, 2023, and has been compared to Twitter due to its text-based concept and focus on real-time conversations.
