Europe: YoY change in used vehicle and new car registrations by country Q4 2022-2023

Across the five European countries surveyed, Germany reported the steepest year-over-year increase in used car transactions as of the fourth quarter of 2023, while its new car market declined. Used car transactions rose by 9.1 percent in Germany, compared to a hike of 7.2 percent in France and 6.9 percent in the United Kingdom.
