In 2022, the share of invalid followers of KOLs (aka key opinion leaders) who focus on transportation topics in China reached approximately 54.2 percent, the highest number among all other topic categories. Overall, about 53 percent of influencer followers were invalid in China that year.

Invalid followers refer to fake accounts which are created to boost marketing effects or social influence and their activities do not reflect an actual viewpoint and action in the reality.
