Share of Black Americans who reported unfair treatment in select situations 2021
According to a survey conducted in 2021, 35 percent of Black Americans reported that they felt that they were treated unfairly in the previous 30 days while they were shopping in a store because they were a Black person. 17 percent also said that they felt that they were treated unfairly at their place of work and while getting healthcare for themselves or a family member.
