According to a survey on usage of the streaming service Wavve conducted in May 2023 in South Korea, around 52 percent of respondents answered that they had initially signed up to the service to access content they wanted to watch on the platform. Another approximately 31 percent had started to use the service because they got extra benefits through their phone provider.
