U.S. views on the impact of widely shared videos of police violence 2023, by party
In 2023, 76 percent of surveyed Democrats said that widely shared videos of police violence against Black people make it easier to hold police officers accountable in the United States, with 50 percent of Republicans sharing this belief. However, 74 percent of Republicans also said that widely shared videos of police violence against Black people make it harder for police officers to do their job, compared to 38 percent of Democrats.
