In a survey conducted in Australia between November 2021 and February 2022, approximately 57 percent of LGBTIQ+ respondents reported being diagnosed with one or more mental health conditions prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. A further 5.8 percent reported being diagnosed with one or more mental health conditions during the pandemic, with depression and anxiety ranking among the most commonly diagnosed conditions.
