According to a survey conducted among South Korean department store visitors in April 2023, close to two-thirds of respondents in their forties purchased something when they visited a department store. The purchase conversion rate did not have notable differences between the ages of 30 to 59 years, staying in over the 60 percent range. Only for the ages of 20 to 29 years did the rate drop to around 56.6 percent.
