Value of Sephora & Ulta holiday D2C transactions in the U.S. 2022, by channel
The average expenditure by consumers on online direct-to-consumer (D2C) purchases exceeded that of in-store purchases at Sephora and Ulta between November and December 2022. Sephora's customers, on average, spent 77 U.S. dollars in physical stores and 81 dollars on e-commerce transactions. Similarly, the average in-store spending at Ulta was 69 U.S. dollars, while online D2C purchases amounted to 71 dollars.
