Industrial robot installations grew in nearly all sectors in the United States from 2019 to 2022. In the automotive and metal and electronics industries there was a slump in 2021, likely owing to significant drop in demand due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The largest growth of installations in 2022 was in the automotive sector, which grew nearly 47 percent in installation numbers.
