In 2023, the industrial natural gas price in the United States was 4.59 U.S. dollars per thousand cubic feet. This was a decrease compared to the previous year. In 2008, the U.S. price of natural gas for industry peaked at 9.65 U.S. dollars per thousand cubic feet as a result of the Great Recession.
Despite the increase in natural gas prices for the industry sector in recent years, natural gas prices for other sectors were much higher.
