According to a survey by Rakuten Insight conducted in March 2023 on the impact of inflation on household expenses in South Korea, around 71.5 percent of respondents aged 55 years and older answered they felt the impact of inflation when paying for basic necessities like food, clothing, or healthcare. This was the category in which most South Korean consumers felt affected the most across age groups.
