As of March 2023, in a context of strong mobilization against the pension reform, almost two thirds of people in France believed it was justified that the day of interprofessional mobilization on March 7 against the pension reform should lead to a strike movement that could be extended. This share was proportional to the level of monthly income: the poorer the respondents were (and thus the more affected by the reform), the more likely they were to share this opinion.
