France: average monthly amount of pensions by gender

In France, the average gross monthly pension (direct right, derived right and additional pension for three or more children) per retiree increased by almost 400 euros between 2004 and 2020. During the same period, men's pensions increased by 408 euros, and women's by 401. In 2020, women earned 554 euros less than their male counterparts, compared to 543 euros less in 2004.
In 2021, almost 15 million people were pensioners under the general pension plan of direct and derived right in France.

"This data excludes individuals who received a lump sum payment. Civil servants who terminate a disability pension and have reached the minimum age of retirement are included. The net pension is calculated after deduction of the CSG, CRDS and CASA. "
