Surveyed in March 2023 regarding the mobilization against the pension reform, almost two thirds of people in France believed it was justified that the day of interprofessional mobilization on March 7 against the pension reform should lead to a strike movement that could be extended. This proportion was much higher among employees, workers, and intermediate occupations than among those already retired, and therefore not affected by this reform.
Older French people were also the least likely to participate in demonstrations against these reforms.
