When questioned at the beginning of March 2023 about the mobilization against the pension reform, nearly two thirds of French people thought it was justified that the day of interprofessional mobilization on March 7 against the pension reform should lead to a strike movement that could be extended. This proportion was much higher among French people of working age than among those already retired, and therefore not affected by this reform.
Older French people were also the least likely to participate in demonstrations against these reforms.
