As of the end of 2021, Sarawak in East Malaysia had approximately 46 trillion cubic feet of non-associated and associated natural gas reserves left, an increase compared to around 44 trillion cubic feet in the previous year. In 2022, the production of natural gas in the country amounted to more than 82 billion cubic meters.
