Discord Inc. valuation 2018-2022
Communication and social media platform Discord was valued at 14.7 billion U.S. dollars in September 2021. The platform, which provides users with voice, text, and even video streaming communication channels, was valued at 3.5 billion U.S. dollars in June 2020, but saw both its engagement and value skyrocket in 2020, as users looked for online communication channels during the first outbreaks of the COVID-19 pandemic. In June 2022, after witnessing the market stalling and digital companies slowing revenues, Fidelity Investments cut its valuation of Discord shares by approximately 32 percent.
