Trade openness ratio of South Korea 2011-2022
In 2022, international trade equaled a more than 96.5 percent share of the South Korean gross domestic product (GDP). The trade-to-GDP ratio is an indicator to measure the trade openness of a country by comparing the sum of imports and exports to the GDP. The trade openness indicates the influence of international trade on domestic business and a high index usually marks a strong economy.
