According to a survey on consumer life in South Korea in 2021, about 37.3 percent of respondents in their 40s stated that the amount purchased has slightly increased due to COVID-19. Meanwhile, around 32.3 percent of respondents aged 60 or older answered that there was almost no increase of the purchase amount.
