According to a survey conducted in May 2023, the lack of content one wanted to watch on Over-the-top (OTT) services compared to their expectations was one of the main reasons for South Korean OTT subscribers to cancel their membership with 51 percent of respondents answering that way. Another roughly 45 percent of respondents answered their reason was that they had already watched all content they had wanted to watch.
