Douyin and Kuaishou were the most effective marketing platforms in China for domestic fashion brands. Over two-thirds of the post interaction and responses came from these two short video apps in the first seven months of 2022. Interactional fashion advertisers, on the contrast, relied on the Twitter-like site Weibo for brand promotion and engaging target consumers.
