Luxury brands were the most active digital advertisers in the Chinese fashion industry, accounting for nearly 42 percent of the total digital marketing content between January and July 2021. Low-end brands were relatively less engaged but had achieved a higher level of interactions with target ad audience.

The price ranges of each market segment was calculated by the median prices of all non-discount products sold on the official channels and were divided as follows:
Low-end: below 250 yuan.
Mid-range: 50 to 500 yuan.
Affordable luxury: 500 to 2,000 yuan.
Luxury: above 2,000 yuan.
