In the first quarter of 2023, the number of transactions via domestic credit transfer recorded over 2.1 billion in Vietnam. In the same period, the value of these transactions reached over 48 quadrillion Vietnamese dong in the country. Previously one of the most cash-dependent countries in Southeast Asia, Vietnam has seen substantial growth in cashless payment usage among its population in recent years.

(i) international transactions, card payment transactions initiated by oversea issuing banks;
(ii) deposits, withdrawals or transfers from whom senders and receivers are the same; and
(iii) repayments between credit institutions and their customers (i.e, loans, principal/interest payments, fees,..).
**Including: Bills, Standing Orders, Domestic Letter of Credit, SMS Banking, Mobile Banking, Phone Banking, Internet Banking, Money Transfer instructions from CA-Current Account, etc.
