In 2021, the export value of fruit-flavored soju from South Korea amounted to around 99 billion South Korean won. Soju is a traditional Korean clear spirit made from rice, wheat or barley. Fruit-flavored soju made its entrance on the market in 2015 when Lotte Chilsung, the leading domestic beverage manufacturer, released the first fruit soju brand Sunhari.
