Global PEV sales by leading model YTD 2022

Between January and November 2022, the Tesla Model Y was the best-selling plug-in electric vehicle (PEV), at nearly 674,600 unit sales. While two of Tesla's models were among the 10 most popular PEV models, over half of these models were BYD-branded. During the same period, BYD thus surpassed Tesla in terms of total PEV sales.
