According to an online survey conducted in October 2021, 49 percent of Canadian residents had a positive opinion of Facebook, whilst 40 percent stated they had a negative opinion of the social media platform. Overall, Facebook Messenger was viewed most positively, with 66 percent of respondents having a positive view of the instant messaging service, and just 15 percent holding a negative view.
