WeChat has become the most effective online channel in China to attract consumer interest in luxury goods. According to a survey as of June 2021, about 53 percent of light and medium-spending consumers reported that they have used WeChat to discover high-end products. Moreover, 27 percent of respondents stated that content-focused social media have sparked their interest in buying luxury.
