In the second half of 2022, around 9.8 million cases of spam received via e-mail were recorded in South Korea, with the majority of these originating from abroad. This was a major decline in e-mail spam, especially compared to 2018, when e-mail spam records peaked at over 50 million cases in just the first half of that year.
