According to a survey conducted among South Korean consumers in 2022 on luxury items, for more than 60 percent of respondents it was the most important that the brand of the item they purchased would not change in value over a longer period of time. Especially during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, a lot of South Koreans purchased luxury items as a form of a safe investment.
