Italy: types of social media accounts followed 2023

As of the third quarter of 2023, over half of social media users in Italy followed closer contacts like friends, family, and people they knew. Bands, singers, or musicians were the second most followed type of social media accounts in the country with approximately 34.4 percent of internet users in Italy reporting doing so. Restaurant, chefs, and foodies accounts were followed by roughly 31.9 percent of social media users during the examined period.
