During the coronavirus pandemic, cooking activity increased in households all over Europe. For instance, in Germany, the average consumer cooked 8.2 meals per week in 2021, up from seven meals in 2019. The largest difference was observed in the United Kingdom, where surveyed respondents cooked 2.1 more meals per week in 2021 than in 2019.
