In the seven weeks leading up to Easter 2021, candy sales grew from week six onward. During the last week before the Easter holidays, about one billion U.S. dollars were spent in the U.S. on candy. The sales in week seven of 2021 were noticeably higher than those in 2020 and 2019 and are an anomaly.
