The river Gudenå ist the longest in Denmark, running 156 kilometers. It runs through the peninsula Jutland, ending in Randers. Skjern Å is the country's second longest river with 104 kilometers, closely followed by Storå.
The length of the rivers may vary depending on the source, due to different methods of measuring. For instance, the part of Odense Å which only goes under this name is 52 kilometers long, but if the part named Hågerup Å is included, it is 82 kilometers long.
