Nigeria registered the highest value of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals in the oil and gas sector in Africa between April 2021 and March 2022. 15 oil and gas M&A deals were made in the country, reaching a value of roughly 2.9 billion U.S. dollars. Liberia followed, with M&A deals totaling around 1.02 billion U.S. dollars. Both countries recorded also the highest number of oil and gas M&A deals in Africa during the period.
