Between 2010 and 2020, renewable energy investment in Africa reached 55 billion U.S. dollars. Southern Africa received the highest stake of investment in the period, some 22.4 billion U.S. dollars. North Africa followed, with investment in renewables amounting to 17.5 billion U.S. dollars.
