According to a report published by UNESCO in February 2022, cultural and creative industries accounted for 6.2 percent of global employment in 2020. That year, employees in this market represented 5.9 percent of all jobs in Western Europe and North America. Meanwhile, 8.2 percent of total employment in Africa came from cultural and creative industries in 2020.
