According to a survey conducted among South Korean Gen MZ members in 2022 on what type of meat alternatives they had tried, around 40 percent answered that they tried pork before, especially in sandwiches and salads. The second most popular type of meat alternative were beef alternatives with around 35 percent of respondents stating to have tried those mostly in form of beef replacement burger patties.
