As of June 2020, 46 percent of parents in the United States reported that their teen had felt frustrated with their relationship with social media. Overall, 17 percent of respondents stated that their teens frustration with social media came from feeling angry, whilst 16 percent said that it came from feeling hurt. Furthermore, eight percent of parents said their child's frustration with social media came from a feeling of being out of control and 7 percent said was a result of feeling exploited.
