A survey conducted in April 2021 investigated what motivates individuals to purchase online arts and culture activities in the United States. According to the study, being interested in the content or the artist was the most popular reason for participating in paid online art activities in the U.S., with 58 percent of respondents indicating this motivation. Meanwhile, 52 percent of the survey sample answered that they paid for online cultural activities because the price was reasonable.
