Expected sources of retirement income varies between countries in the world. As of 2020, 65 percent of employees and retirees in Spain expected their main source of retirement income to come from the government, through social security and other benefits. Meanwhile, the share of respondents who expected their main source of retirement income to come from own savings and investments in India was higher than in the other countries surveyed.
