In a survey conducted in September 2021 by Rakuten Insight among South Korean app users on their experience with purchasing apps, roughly 81 percent of respondents aged 45 to 54 years old stated that they had bought apps before. Respondents aged 16 to 24 years old were least likely to have purchased mobile applications, with around 23.8 percent of respondents in that age group answering to have never done that before.
