In a survey conducted in September 2021 by Rakuten Insight among South Korean app users on whether or not they had tried purchasing an application before, around 44.25 percent of male respondents stated that they had done so. At the same time, more than 61 percent of women in the same survey answered that they had not purchased apps before.
