Main reason to unfollow influencers according social media users in the U.S. 2021
According to a survey of social media users aged between 16 and 34 years old in the United States, as of April 2021, almost 29 percent of respondents reported unfollowing social media influencers or public figures because they grew bored of their content. The shifting of personal interests played a role in users' decisions to unfollow, with 24.5 percent of respondents reporting this as one of their main reason. The lack of trust in the content produced was also among the most reported reasons for social media users to unfollow influencers and public figures.
