In June 2021, around 65 thousand cubic meters of natural gas were used in the production of electricity in Morocco. A lower volume of the fossil gas was consumed in the preceding month. Within the period observed, the largest quantity of natural gas used to produce electricity was reached in July 2020, at 83.4 thousand cubic meters. Other fossil fuels used for electricity generation in Morocco are coal, fuel oil, and diesel.
