According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight among South Koreans in June 2021 on their reasons to not shop in physical stores as frequently as they did before the coronavirus even after restrictions were lifted, more than 30 percent of women said it was because they preferred to mix online and offline shopping. Around 29 percent of men in this survey answered that they wanted to avoid crowds because they were still afraid to catch the virus.
