According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight among South Koreans in June 2021 on their intention to shop in physical stores as frequently as before COVID-19 after restrictions were lifted, around 81 percent of respondents aged 55 or older stated that they would. At the same time, around a third of respondents between 16 and 24 years old answered that they would not shop offline as much as they did before the pandemic.
