According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight among South Koreans in June 2021 on the reasons to change their shopping time preference, around 72 percent of male respondents stated it was to avoid crowds of people. This was also the most common reasons among female respondents, with almost 66 percent of them answering that way.
