According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight among South Koreans in June 2021 on the impact COVID-19 had on their preferred time for offline shopping, around 51 percent of respondents answered that the coronavirus pandemic had an effect on their shopping time preference. One of the most common reasons to change their shopping time was to avoid people.
